Started during the summer of 2023 (the date of this photo) and continued into the following year, the writing of my first novel was completed in June 2024.
Throughout my life, I have tried with all my strength to press where it hurts, to touch, through my pictorial work and my writings, the core of contemporary unease.
This, at the risk of hurting myself, sparing nothing, sparing no one. And by violating all our taboos, whether they were political or intimate.
This novel sits precisely at the intersection of all taboos, at the crossroads of forbidden subjects that touch upon social, familial, racial, religious, psychological, and sexual issues that plague modern bodies.
In the blind spot of all transgressions.
Never have I felt that I have created something so powerful, so unsettling, so provocative, and even so dangerous.
It is also, without a doubt, the most significant effort I have produced so far to attempt to undermine the state of the world.
So, I count on you to respond when the time comes and to read it. For it is only then that you will finally understand precisely why you hate me or love me.
It is a little over 700 pages. It will be published in three weeks by Les Éditions de la Reine Rouge.
